چکیده

An introduction to spin techniques in particle physics is given. Among the topics covered are: helicity formalism and its applications to the decay and scattering of spin-1/2 and spin-1 particles, techniques for evaluating helicity amplitudes (including projection operator methods and the spinor helicity method), and density matrix techniques. The utility of polarization and spin correlations for untangling new physics beyond the Standard Model at future colliders such as the LHC and a high energy e+e− linear collider is then considered. A number of detailed examples are explored including the search for low-energy supersymmetry, a non-minimal Higgs boson sector, and new gauge bosons beyond the W± and Z. NONDYNAMICAL ANALYSIS OF SPIN AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON ELASTIC SCATTERING IN OPTIMAL FORMALISM AT 6.0 GeV/C

Optimal conditions are used in nondynamical formalism to diagonalize the pionproton reaction matrix as much as possible. Invariance laws are imposed to simplify the relationship between observables and bilinear combination of amplitudes. Transverse amplitudes are determined by using measured polarization parameter in xfp elastic scattering at 6.0 GeVIC

Sol – Gel Spin Coated Cadmium Sulphide ‎Thin Films on Silicon (1 0 0) Substrates for ‎Optoelectronic Applications

Cadmium chalcogenides with appropriate band gap energy have been attracting a great deal of attention because of their potential applications in optoelectronic devices. In this work CdS thin films were deposited on p – type silicon substrates by sol – gel spin coating method at different substrate temperatures. The CdS deposited wafers were characterized by X‐ray diffracti...

Polarization puts a New Spin on Physics

Polarization and spin effects are useful for probing the Standard Model, in both the electroweak sector and the strong sector, where the spin decomposition of the nucleon is still a hot topic, with important new data on the net polarizations of the gluon and the strange quarks. Spin phenomena are also useful in searches for new physics, for example via measurements of the anomalous magnetic mom...

First-principles modeling of electron transport.

The dimensions of electronic devices are rapidly decreasing and there is a need for a new generation of modeling tools that can accurately calculate the electrical properties of devices where atomic scale details and quantum effects are important. A promising framework for such calculations is density functional theory within the non-equilibrium Green's function formalism (NEGF-DFT). In this pa...

Designing and Fabrication of Electrochromic Windows Using Tungsten Oxide Films Prepared Through Sol-gel Coating on a Glass

In this study, a sol-gel peroxotungstic acid sol was employed to deposit tungsten oxide (WO3) films by the spin-coating technique. In view of smart window applications, electrochromic windows were then designed and fabricated using a thin tungsten oxide film. For this purpose, Glass/ FTO/ WO3/ electrolyte/ FTO/Glass could be of use due to its special structure that consists of an electrochromic...
